The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and be adept at troubleshooting and repairing various mechanical systems. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of facilities. The Maintenance Mechanic will work closely with other team members to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Work on Forklifts to keep them up to date with OSHA requirements.

  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.

  • Supervise maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards and timelines.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used.

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues before they become major problems.

  • Weld components as necessary for repairs or fabrication tasks.

  • Utilize logic controllers for troubleshooting automated systems.

  • Operate tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics.

  • Assist in residential painting projects as part of facility upkeep.


Skills

  • Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and procedures.-

  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.

  • Experience in supervising maintenance tasks or teams is a plus.

  • Ability to fabricate parts using various tools and materials.

  • Skilled in welding techniques for metal repairs.

  • Proficient in English for effective communication within the team.

  • Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in maintenance work.

  • Competence in using an ohmmeter for electrical troubleshooting tasks.

  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on safety protocols.

  • This position is essential for maintaining the functionality of our facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for all operations.
